S/N and age of 25hp Mercury

Can anyone give me the S/N's for the years 2002,2003 and possibly 2004. Not sure when mercury stopped making them. The motor is a 25hp short shaft, el. start, tiller model. I can't find this information that is reliable. thanks

I have been looking for a motor like this, in this range of years (2002-2003-2004 not sure when Mercury stopped making them) I have found 5 or 6 that are right but not sure of the year. I thought it was easiest if I had a list 2002 #1111 to #2222 2003 #2222 to #3333 etc. I didn't know there was a wrong way to ask a question. If I went at this the wrong way I am sorry. I thought one list would be simpler than posting 5 or 6 time or every time I found another motor. None of the charts I found are newer than 1996 or 1997 Thanks any way

The Question is kind of hard because from what I can tell as of 06+ they are still making a 25hp engine.

Are you trying to find a Bigfoot, 2, or 4, stroke engine, EFI or carburetor style, ect???

This link will give you some serial numbers to look at, Just hover your mouse arrow over the engine size And the serial number will pop up, Good luck.

Sorry I wasn't thinking again. It's a 25hp tiller,short shaft,el. start, 2 stroke. Looking at five all in the 2002 to I think about 2004. Isn't that the last year that made a 2 stroke for themself's or was it 2003? Sorry about lack of information. That's what happens when you get old. The mind is the second thing to go!!! Thanks

You'll also find that from the mid 90's the tag that has the serial number also states the year.
