Controls from 95 25HP to 94 40HP will they interchange?

I am discussing trading motors with another gentleman. I have a 95 25 HP (J25ELEOA) and other motor is a 94 40 HP (J40TTLERE) does anyone know if the controls will interchange? Any issues with the 40 HP I should be looking for? Thanks for any input.
