yup....hi search in what we call the "dry dock" the restoration forum here is the absolute best on the net....we have some of the top gellcoat/fiberglass people in the industry that monitor that forum.
however.......use heat to remove the striping and letters.
use aceitone to clean....dry sand from 400 alll the way to 1500.
buff using farecla then a good polish and glaze or wax
however...the shadows are actually a sun fade of the gellcoat around the letters...and you are better off to cover the area with some kind of decal or paint.
