Took my 88 seaswirl with 120hp v evinrude. Started right up, idled fine and performed well as far as i can tell. I do have a couple of questiongs. Right below the top cover is an exost. I put my hand over it and it is a little moist. Is that a problem? Aslo the steam of water that comes out, is the stream supost to increase with rimp? It seemed to me to stay at a costant flow. Is that a problem. You guys are realy helpfull and i appreceate it. This site rocks. Thanks

Re: Took it out for the first time.

if the stream of water is coming out with a reasonable force you are ok, it usually will get stronger at higher rpms but you may not be able to tell the difference visually., and the exhaust is fine it is supposed to do that. make sure your overheat alarm is working and always mix oil properly, a little extra oil is not bad.
