Hello,

I seem to have lost one of the brass drain plugs for my 140 OMC STRINGER engine. Anybody know where I can buy another one of these? I'm looking all over online and haven't found a shop that sells them yet. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

If I'm not mistaken it's a 1/4 npt. Lowes, Home Depot or Ace!

Ayuh,... It's either 1/4" pipe or 1/8" pipe,... Any hardware store will have 'em...

I found a 1/4" NPT radiator drain plug at Autozone, and it feels like it's just slightly too big. The threading on it looks less worn down that the plug I do have.

The plug I have now has threading, then a smooth surface with a hole in it, and then the rest of the threading. So you twist, push, twist the rest of the way in. Here's a picture of what I'm trying to replace:

Ayuh,... The plug you bought screws into the Block...
The plug you show screws into an adapter... Remove the adapter,+ the new plug will fit...

I've seen those before, but don't know where to find replacements, unless stolen from old motors...
