I have a 1989 Sunrunner 215B and the trim doesn't work. The motor is good, the fluid line has been severed and now I have a question. I will be keeping the boat on a lift in the Lake and will never have a situation to use the trim. When I tried to trim the motor at speed the boat would always porpoise, so I always just kept the motor down. If I don't fix the trim (Been told the outdrive has to be removed), what are the ramifications and is there a mechanical pin that I can use to make sure the motor doesn't rise. I could see potential reverse problems, and at speed pushing the gas off might cause the foot to come up. THanks and waiting for your answer.
