what year is this motor,cant find it

I was told that this was a 1972 10hp johnson, but I when i looked it up they only made a 9.5. I have a 73 9.5 and it is completly different so I dont think it is a 9.5 and was wondering if anyone had an idea of the size and year. The serial number is J2327631.

i had one of those motors ,though it was a long time ago it was a early sixties model not a 70,s!

if you go to the old-omc site,you will find lots of useful info on omc motors from many decades and also pictures and cataloges!if you look at 1962 and 1963 they are the only years of that motor you have pictured.

It is a 1962 or 1963 10hp Johnson.
