Evinrude 70 hp bracket swap to upgrade power trim

I wonder if one can upgrade the power trim unit to a later configuration by swapping out the brackets on a 77 Evinrude 70 hp with those from a later unit. If possible one might be able to use a more easily found fast track system or other later type.

Please advise.
