Ayuh,.... Find the Sending Unit, it's probably the Problem...
I donno if replacements are available, or Not...
Maybe you can just clean up the wiring...

I just learned to live Without the gauge,... Now I use the "Seat of the Pants" gauge....

Well you can't get an OE one anymore but Sierra makes one that is pretty much exactly the same...I got one off this site a few months back so try searching around for it....I find that these senders last at most 2 seasons in salt water....changing them is not fun either...the wiring goes through a nearly inaccessible place in the transom mount...

Re: Trim gauge stuck

Howdy,

That sender is just a simple variable resistor with one end connected to ground and the "wiper" connected to the gage (or vise versa).

I was able to disassemble mine (back when I had a Kobra) and clean it out bit.

The other problem might be a shorted wire to the gage. remove the wire from the gage and see if it drops.

The gage will usually have 2 wires connected to it (excluding the light). 12v on one side and the sender wire on the other......the trim sender (variable resistor) completes the circuit to ground.
