Moldy carpet

Leaky top + warming weather = moldy carpet. I plan to dry, vacuum, find some cleaner safe for carpet, scrub, vac, repeat as necessary. Any good tips?

Nope, sounds like a good plan. Once it's dry you should be OK. I would wonder about the wood under it; if there is any.
