I have a 1978 Thundercraft and I'm trying to decide if I should repaint it or not. I've done a lot of reading here but it sounds like most are working on complete restore projects. I'm not going to get into that as the inside of my boat is good. Right now I have a orange strip going down the side and would like to make the boat look 'fresh'. Would it be a terrible idea of just fixing the needed fiberglass issues (normal wear and tear from being so old) and then just using Interlux Perfect? And, I'm not sure how a person would with 'normal' tools be able to paint the bottom of the boat when its on the trailer. I wouldn't even want to take the motor off. Is this a terrible idea? Thanks to all that respond. I appreciate it.

I'm having a snap on cover built/made for it right now. Once I get it back, I'll take some pictures to post. I do have some pictures of it in action... (lake pictures... )
