Re: 1975 60hp chrysler outboard spark plugs
Spark plugs are Champion L20V or new number Champion 322. NGK is (I think) BUHW. (either BUHW or BUHX, but I think BUHX is the Mercury plug and I don't have my manual handy.)
You have a GREAT engine there--one of the best Chrysler ever designed. GOBS of low end torque and produces an honest 60 ponies at the prop. Maybe a bit more.
Just be careful: The lower unit has weak gears, too small for the power produced. Do not under-prop the engine as a hole shot with too low pitched a prop will allow it to rev too quickly, develop its torque too quickly, and strip out the gears. To prevent this just do not bang open the throttle, but feed it in gradually.
