What year 150? What is it you're trying to accomplish?

Re: fuel pressure for 150 johnson

it is a 1989 Johnson 150 GT. the fuel pump and oil pump which was one unit was completely removed by the previous owner. I'm assuming, the oil pump went out, for i have heard that they have had many problems with that. to replace it it is very expensive unless some one knows otherwise. I'm going to be mixing my fuel and want to put an inline fuel pump in for now.

thanks.

PS. if I'm wrong about anything, let me know. i haven't been working on boats very long.

I think sierra sells a fuel only pump which bolts in the same location on the engine as the old vro pump. iTS cheaper than the factory pump.
They probably carry it here on iBoats.

You will need to use two conventional lift pumps to avoid the risk of running lean. You can see various setups on older 150 motors such as the 1983 models .
