Ok hello all, I know this question has prob been asked before but I couldnt find it so here goes.

I have a 78 Aroow glass Cheetha and i wanna repaint and have been looking at paints. What I want to do is paint the boat down to where the V starts and I was wondering how I can do that with out painting the whole boat. Can i just masck off the v's where I want the paint to stop or do I have to paint the whole boat?
Also I was reading about how dark colors are not adviseable in warmer climates due to the heat absorption. I live in sw MO and boat in Nothern westen Arkansas and was thinking about paintin it a a medium blue and was wondering if this would pull to much heat where summer temps can be 85 to 90 avg and maybe a month of closer to 100.
Any advise would be great.

Mask it off and paint away! Yes dark colors do attract more heat.

Is your boat kept on a trailer or is it kept in the water?
