Re: Engine ID Number

Yep, all the old 10hp's were Sport Twins. Great old motors. 1963 was the last year built. The following year was a 9 1/2hp and a totally different motor.

The fuel mix is 24:1

Evinrude Sportwin 10 Engine ID Number Info.

Evinrude Sportwin 10 Engine ID Number Info.

Hi, I'm new to this website etc. I just got an Evinrude Sportwin 10 ID plate #'s are as follows: 10016 06467

Hasn't been started since my Uncle died - 42 years ago - Was stored in the garage, in excellent shape appearence wise, feels like it has good compression. My question is what year is it and what should the compression be on the two cylinders? I gather the fuel ratio is 24:1, I have not done anything to it yet. Any warnings -clues to well know problems with this motor etc?

Thanks
