transducer location

i have a rib, and was wondering what would the results be if one cant quite get the transducer 15 inches away from the prop due to limited space? finder would be used at trolling speeds...

To be honest with you, I don't see a problem with it. Of course, there are others who will...:p

I just mounted a x96 lowrance unit and it said 12inches away from outdrive is good. So I think you are good to go.:)
