New to the site hopefully i can get some answers! I have a 150 force that the power head is bad and looking at buying another power head and mid section and the on the transom brackett of the motor i have is # 819247. Was wondering if all of the lower units were interchangable. If not how do I found out what can be interchangable and what year it is.

Re: Lower Unit / 150 Force Outboards

The following is from IBoats.net and lists models that fit your engine which appears to be '92-'94 model. Someone will correct me if I am wrong.

I think variations will be pinion and gear ratio amongst models. Look at the following example:

1990 H0906X90B GEAR HOUSING

Where it says ho906x90b gives an indication of horsepower (In Bold) and year that would accommodate your needs. Prop diameter and pitch will be affected by the different ratios.

1989-1994 85/90/120/150hp units are the same gear ratio and will bolt up with no problem
