I just replaced my melted rectifier/regulator and the new one i got that is suppose to superceed my old one has less wires. My old one had a yellow,gray,yellow/gray,&purple that went to the terminal block. The new one does not have the purple wire and the paperwork doesnt specify anything about this change, in fact the instructions show the purple wire being hooked up. Just doesnt seem right should i be alarmed? Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Thanks P.S (1990 evinrude 150xp)
