If it has no spark at all you'll need to disconnect the boat harness from the enginge wiring harness and check spark again. Make sure you get back to 87 octane which the motor was designed to use. Also make sure you have Champion plugs and they are the right ones.

unplug the big red plug, wiring harness, this take the ignition switch out of the problem. now take a remote starter switch, connect it to the incoming positive post on the starter solenoid, and the other connector to the yellow/red wire post on the solenoid, this will allow you to turn the motor over, and check for spark. should jump 1/2 inch gap. if you now have spark, the problem is in the harness or the ignition switch. if no spark still on any plugs, either power pack, stator, timing base.

if the sensor was going bad, it could have been sending bad signals.
