In short, I hate those things, and consider them to be dangerous. Your boat/engine combination is good, so you shouldn't need to add anything to the setup. The way those 'wings' work is to lift the back of the boat, and the faster you go, the greater the lift. If that happens in a following sea it can be 'interesting', with a very high risk of broaching.
