Aluminum Boat Paint Question

I bought a 30 year old 16' camo jon boat. It has the old 'army' looking camo from the 70's. I have totally rebuilt the inside of the boat and now am about to update the paint. Since it has the original camo paint, after I lightly sand it what should I use to paint over it? The paint is not pealing or chipping...I just want to paint the base color camo beige and do my own grassy camo with green/brown/black on top of the beige base.

Do I need the etching primer since it already has paint?

What type of paint do I use?

if the paint is still good looking and its what you like,why not just wet sand it and shoot a couple coats of clear coat over it,then it will be nice and shinny.
if your not happy with the paint that is on it now,wet sand it and you can use just about any automotive paint on the boat,I would suggest using a sherwin williams paint and they will gladdly lead you in the right direction,sw auto paints are not very exspensive and they are great,you can use a one stage acrylic enamel from them for less then 100 bux.....

The Starcraft in my avatar is all aluminum
Since the old original paint was really good, I simply sanded lightly to scuff up the old paint, washed down and wiped off with rags then rolled on regular rustoleum
