I have a 1996 115 merc...it won't stay running when i first start it only runs with the choke and when i put into gear it stalls? also when tubing i hear a grindind in the motor only when i dis engage the trottle and hit the trottle...is it a gear? it sounds like a rachette noise.:confused:

Needs carburator cleaning or it's got a fuel pump problem
