I'm looking at a used 1999 Merc 9.9 2-stroke. I noticed that there is no plastic cover on the front side of the carb like there is on my 1998 Merc 25 2-stroke. Should there be or were they not put on the smaller motors. It is a black piece of plastic covering the air intake port on the carb on the very front of the motor, directly under the pulll rope. On the 25 it also has the access plug for the idle speed screw formed in it.

I would appreciate it if anyone who might have this same motor would check it and let me know if you have one or not. The 25 manual says "on those models so equipped" when referring to the access hole plug - that's why I wonder if they were included on all motors.
