Well its time to paint the bottom of my Whaler. Never bought bottom paint before, can anyone recommend a good inexpensive paint? Will be using the boat in saltwater, sometimes trailering and sometimes in a slip.

Thanks

Micron for in and out. It will last almost 3 seasons. Be sure to prep and prime the bottom per manufacturer.
And none of it is cheap

Prime the bottom per manufacturer, and then use a good ablative antifouling paint with enough copper to ward off the growth. Warmer water requires more copper, and perhaps an anti slime addative. Non-ablative paint looses it's effectiveness when the boat is on the trailer.

I like the store brand AF paint. These are made by interlux or Pettit, which are both good brands. If the boat is older, you might want to prime with a high build epoxy barrior coat to ward off any blistering. The newer boats tend to be resistant.
