Here is a little restoration project I finally finished.

1949 Gambles Hiawatha (OMC/Gale)5hp outboard. Had to rebuild it, repaint it, and had decals custom made.

I'm pretty happy with the end result. Now when warmer Weather comes...I'll make sure it still runs!!:eek:

Very nice. I have the exact same motor. I am in the process of restoring mine as well. Could you let me know where you had the decals made.

Great Job, everything is well detailed! I think I have the same motor too, maybe older, the cast aluminum looks different. Could you help me ID the year? I would be interested in a close-up of the decals for the info on the front, Id like toView attachment 109469View attachment 109470 make some for mine after my restoration.
