compression 100 +-2 all the way around. spark 1/2 inch. carbs cleaned, with kits, link n sinced.

problem, acts like fuel starvation, new gas, bulb, pumps fine, good fuel pressure. has to to be primed every start, as soon as prime gas, is gone stalls, if i can keep it running, it will bogg out when throttle is advanced. then sometimes it will rev right up, and take load.

suggestions!!!!

Watch the timing advance when starting - what's it doing?

Disconnect the fuel line AFTER the fuel pump, crank the motor and check for a strong pulsed fuel flow, if weak, then remove the pump and check inside the pressure/vacuum hose between the pump and crankcase for fuel indicating a leaking diaphragm.

If you keep priming the fuel bulb, will the engine run normally? This engine has quick start, which initially advances the timing until the powerhead gets up to 96 degrees. (if warm, it operates in quick start for about 5 seconds.) Is there any chance that the engine quits running after the engine goes off quickstart and the timing goes back to base mode?
