If its a real '91 2.5 then absolutly. That motor is gettin' ta be pretty rare. If its an efi motor it will be real close to tha 225 ProMax without all tha bolt on's. Just painted.................

Bob, I think DD is trying to tell you how lucky you are. Extremely easy motor to make go fast :D and it's hard to find one that hasn't been mod'd.

You gotta know my thoughts on re-ringing would be yes if the engine is stock original. Depending on the hours, you might look at this as a winter opportunity and go ahead and get the bores checked, honed and do a baseline rebuild.

I think the stock compression is in the 125-130 range.

The 91 came from factory with the 14 pedal intake instead of a 10 pedal this is why its rare...

Do a leak down. If that comes out good and its running good, it ain't broke so just run it. Just do a leak down and comp. test a little more often and take care of it. Unless ya just want something ta do while its cold.............D

120 is ok.

OK thanks for the replys , I dont know the history of the enigne or the number of hours , I think i will strip the powerhead and re ring and check it over due to this as it wont take to to long , I should not have to replace all the bearings hopefully .

Re-ringing that engine would be a complete waste of time and bux. It is fine.

Find some other make-busy project to burn up the winter months.
