WOULD LIKE TO FIND OUT WHAT TYPE OF TROLLING MOTOR WOULD WORK ON A 18 FT. MAXUM OPEN BOW.I DO FISH SALT WATER SHALLOWS,CAN A TROLLING MOTOR BE INSTALLED ON THIS TYPE OF HULL :)

grizzly:about how much thrust would be needed for my hull.or what do you have to look for in a trolling motor?

Howdy Lone<br />General rule of thumb is 70lbs. of boat motor people and gear to 1 lb thrust of trolling motor.<br /><br />Just My $.02 worth

o.k. so now that we know how much thrust to look for.is there anything else that you have to keep in mind when buying a trolling motor.now will it really work against the tide or current.is there a need for a special bracket. :) :)
