can CFL bulbs be put into a mason jar and used as an underwater light?:rolleyes:

I have found 12v 25watt bulbs that would be low power draw but should be a good bit of light.

forsee any problems??:confused:

I know it would need some weight to sink it but do you think the bulb would have problems?

I think ill try to mount something like this to the inside of the lid. then make a small hole to poke the power wires through use some rtv or silicone to seal the hole.

I need ideas on how to weigh it down with out obstructing the light output.
