I have an 1982 skicraft with a 115hp ouboard blueband motor. At the last launch I had trouble starting. I replaced all the spark plugs and then the engine cranked only twice after this and I lost all power including power to the tilt trim which i beleive is independant power to the motor. The battery is brand new, i have checked for any burnt out wiring and found some burnt wires to the idler stabiliser. Have removed this on reccomendation but still have no power from ignition. Have had a look to see if there are any fuses but can't find any. Should, or is there a fuse box somewhere. Do you have any further suggestions as to why i have no power what so ever.

Cheers

Re: Power loss

How about the dead man's switch(mercury) in the control box?

Re: Power loss

Glenn, You did not provife the year of the motor, however, I will assume it has an inline six motor with six ignition coils. This is an ADI ignition, run totally on power from the stator. There is a troubleshooting procedure on the CDIelectronics.com website. I recommend you download it and run the tests.
