Bravo XR 3 and Bravo 3

I have a lead on a 2008 Merc 496 HO that was driving a Merc Bravo XR 3. The question that I have is this; Is this going to be compatible with an older, probably 99-01 Bravo 3?

Howdy,

I would bolt it in front of my Bravo III in a heartbeat!!

You may need a different (newer) flywheel housing and the engine mounts may be slightly different.

I think the XR is rated for a little more HP. I would still run it in mine!
