what wheel or pad for 3m super duty compound

I did some sanding on the gelcoat and got most marks off my boat that were left from removed decals , now im polishing up some with 3m super duty compound i got a cheap pad from harbour freight but what should i be using to get best results, a buffing pad, sponge type. also what brand ? thanks

Hi Snake, I used Scotch bright pads by Three-M with their rubbing compound, the burgandy{dark red -medium} first pass, and the grey{fine} on the final pass...all by hand, also used 500 grit wet/dry as it was quite oxyied up when I began.
