73 7.5 mercury won't start

hello thanks for looking I have a 7.5 mercury outboard
and I cant get the thing to kick over I checked compression both cylinders have 120 psi cleaned all the fuel lines
the carb checked the fuel pump and Im getting fuel to the carb
checked the reed valves checked spark and timing have good spark, but still can't get the thing to crank sprayed gas mixture into the cylinders had it
sputter one time but wont crank?? any ideas would be helpful thanks.

Everything sounds like it should be, one thing that I would try is measuring the voltage going to the spark plugs. If you have a manual it would indicate the acceptable voltage to start your engine.... if you have done it then state it in your next e-mail

Go to the Engine FAQs Forum. Do "Outboard won't start". Let us know what you find.

well I checked the voltage and that isn't the problem this is crazy?

Thanks for the help guys..:) I found that one of the points was stuck and
it was only firing on one piston thanks again!!
