what is the max hp for my boat

we recently bought a boat it is an aluminum 14ft 1940s deep v hull jon boat
but the guy would not sell the engine it was an 8 hp honda does anyone know the max hp for it

Ayuh,... I'd guess a 10hp would be about it...

i was thinking 15 or 20hp would be the max... those older v hull john boats are pretty heavy and solid. not sure a 10hp would be enough with 2 guys in there.
