welcome to iboats, unfortunately it is a step by step process, directions in the service manual. each motor, model and year are a little different. you need a service manual. have you check spark, did the person that did the carbs, remove the high speed jets, and clean them? that is the # 1 cause of your problem. also were the fuel lines flush out, before connecting to the carbs?

Your problem may or may not be related to sync & link. It's the obvious first step but don't get frustrated if it doesn't completely clear up the issue. Some more detailed info is needed to really detremine what's going on. The carbs were "rebuilt" but how were they done? What (exactly) was done?

Now, describe exactly what happens. Does the motor idle OK in neutral for a long time or will it die eventually in neutral? Does it die when put in gear right away or does it take a little time? Does it die abruptly or slowly lose rpm and pass out? What's the rpm in neutral? Does it idle OK in gear and die as you try to accelerate?
