i'm tryin' to find the weight of this decent lookin' survivor motor for an old hull i have. any links to some sites that i may try?

The book says 197-205 lbs, for the 1959 V4-11 and V4S-11 respectively. The motor has 70.7 in3 displacement and sold for an original list price of $740-840.

The original flyer I have states 213 lbs for a short shaft electric start. 218# if long shaft.

I got my info from the Johnson Factory Service Manual. I guess they couldn't make up their minds. So the official answer is +200 lbs.

believe this might be for the 75-85hp range?

My 60's v4 60HP weighs 230lbs the same motor 80hp version weighs 233.

We had a '58 ev. "fat four" 50 on a 14' starcraft that would pull 4 skiers wearing a pair of skis each. Talk about a hoss!! Spent most of your time on the beach or in some one else's boat tho. COULD NOT afford to crank it up too many times!!, even @ .40 a gal.

Mother said it drank more than husband and sons put together!!!!
