I went to look at a trailer/junk i/o boat last night and the owner had a great
collection of boats, he had an interesting 1960's welded aluminum tunnel
hull alumacraft or duracraft or something craft, it looked about 14-15'L
x 4 1/2- 5'W powered by a newer 25hp merc 2stroke. He said it will run
31mph with 2 adults. I was very interested but he said it would be the last
boat he'd sell and he had newer searays and ranger boats among others.
I'm sorry if this is a little off topic and i'll post in a more appropriate section
but does anyone know what manufacturers and what years these type
boats were made? The boat basically looked like a trihull in front and
a modified v from the middle to the transom. The owner said it's the best
riding small aluminum boat he's rode in.

Maritime used to make some pretty beefy tri-hull workboats out of aluminum. Not sure if they made smaller tiller-steer boats, but it would make sense that they did...

I think I'm going to call the guy back to see if I can look over the boat some
more and get some details. I think he said it was 1 of 200 or 500 or so. I
was so shocked seeing it I was like Charlie Brown with the teacher saying
WAAA-WAA WAA WA. I didn't hear much of what he said.

It was a very interesting hull design for an aluminum boat. Plus the fact
of it being a welded hull from the 1960's. I think he said 1966.
