Define High Hours On 2003 Merc

I am looking at a Merc 115 4 stroke engine which is documented to have 1500 hours on it. What is considered high, low, or avg. for this year in your opinions.
Any thoughts on what I might expect to have to repair replace as normal at this amount of hours would be appreciated.

Ed... in Michigan so I have some time to decide since the water is getting a bit hard right now around here.

Moderately high hours, probably entering the twilight years of it's life. BUT, if it has had regular (and proper) maintenance, you could see another 1500hrs.

Like any internal combustion engine, age effects rings/ bearings/ seals/ cyl bores/ fuel pumps/ injectors/ brittle wires/ CPU fatigue etc etc .
