I have a 1963 Jet Star Starcraft with a 40 horse Johnson outboard. What would the pros and cons be on using plywood verses a board as long as they are epoxyed well? Thanks, Dustin
I assume you are replacing the transom? Plywood is what you want to use. You could use pressure treated as long as it is completely dry, or you can use ACX, in as many layers of whatever thickness it takes to achieve the desired transom thickness. You will want to bond the layers together and also screw te layers as well for maximum strength, then it will need to be glassed in.
