Ayuh,....Have you tested this old OMC drive,..??

I'd hate to see you put so much effort into this barge, only to find out that even with a new motor, you've still got a pile of Crap....
Basically,...
You're workin' on a Dead Horse...

Anyways,....
You can't remove Just the motor, as it's what holds the outdrive in-place....
Remove the motor alone,+ the outdrive will fall off the back of the barge...

Thanks Bondo,

You are absolutely right! what is the best way to test the outdrive without motor running? I bought into this boat because the guy I got it from told me
his buddy had to many projects and his wife made him choose. So the guy i bought it from told me he bought it to fix for himself he was going to fix it but injured his back. And would not be able to complete the project. The previous Guy had
spent 3,500 on new upholstery went to install it and the motor had seized. based on that i am hopeing it just the engine. hopefully i can get a heads up on testing the stern drive before going further. the trim motor works hopefully thats a good sign:rolleyes:
