Hi I need to know the year of 2 motors.First one is a Johnson J20CRCSA and a Evinrude E25RCSA.Any help would be much apreciated.I think they are in the 80's.

Thanks i thought they were 1980. I looked them up on the parts web sites and a 20 hp was not listed between 1974 and 1984.If they are both 1980 would some of the parts from the 25 fit on the 20 to make it a 25 hp.There is not to much info on the 80's 20 HP.

The CR in the model number indicates that is is a Canadian derated ropestart model. Maybe it is really a 25 any way with its power restricted in some way.

Perhaps therefore just a question of discovering how it has been derated.
