Have a 1978-1980 Mercury 80hp motor. Mechanic has replaced trigger, has done 16 hours of work to diagnose a problem with power falling away leaving the four coils and the stator as the supposed final problem.
Can anybody tell me how to electrically test the four coils and the stator? and how long this would take?
NB I am a novice at this.
