hi i have this 1983 evenrude the compression is good. when the boat runs slow it dose not smoke at all almost but when i run it fast for about 1 minute it smokes alot. a real lot. i had 2 mechanics look at it and they say its normal but they never seen it at a high rmp or even drive the boat. the water pump seems to work it spits the stream out and water comes from the exhaust. one time it stalled and i had to wait to restart it. the smoke seems to come from the lower unit and not under the hood maybe from exhaust.the smoke is white or grey. any help please send me an email. i used ringfree already. and again its not a small amount of smoke. thanks alot
