I have this http://www.ishopmarine.com/ishop/jsp/AsplIsmCcatViewBase.jsp?&lvlCode=4&pCode=C0042405&path=YAM~A0000002~M0000425~M0000462~C0042405&isFromCMS=false&hideAdd2CartButton=&isStandAlone=&is4CmsShop=&reqln=Unknown&reqem=Unknown&reqph=Unknown&reqFor=29&req4Browse=1&docId=&docName=&isForSupStore=true&cCatFilter=YAM&eCatSupFldr=supplier-110-050-YAMlower end. This summer while in reverse about 1/4 throttle the shifter got knocked into forward and this happened.

All that needs replaced are the 2 gears that are shown on the inside(2nd pic). When I ask about the hole people say it can't be wielded due to it warping .

I am not concerned about the appearance of the repair as long as I can save the $ and the labor on changing out the casing.
Thanks for any help:)

as long as the inner hole isnt on a bearing surface, weld it.
your not gonna heat that much Aluminium, welding that small a hole, to do anything.

use JB weld. I am using it on mine for a crack on the lower unit right next to the prop. Just make sure you don't get JB weld on the gears.
