I aquired a 20' river boat with a Hamilton 772 jet but no engine. I have a 350/260 HP I am putting in it. I have installed the engine a couple times and ran it to set it up without the drive coupling:). Question is---is there a way to run this engine out of the water with the jet hooked up:confused:? The jet has the rubber shaft bearings.
Thanks, Don from Canada

Yes. You need to get a y splitter for your garden hose, connect one outlet to engine water inlet. Remove the inspection cover on jet(cover with two bolts just behind bearing) and have other hose outlet spray water down into jet. Sounds complicated but really its not. 'nutcase
