Have any of you guys went to an NFL game lately? I was going to try to get some tickets for the Colts-Pats game next week until I saw how much they are going for. Even the nose bleed tickets are at least 100 bucks each, sideline tickets go for 3 grands each. I can't see how the league's stadiums keep filling their seats and sold out games if the economy is as tough as they said. Even with the cheapest seats, 2 guys could easily spend 250-300 bucks after gas, parking and a couple sodas. How much are tickets for your favorite team?

Re: NFL game tickets

well.........since 2 of my daughters are pro football cheerleaders. parking and good seats are free of charge. But you're right.. with the Vikes doing so good, to buy tickets is crazy.. it would be impossible for the average family of 4 to afford fairly decent seats. An average family would need football to be their passion if they were going to spend that kind of money for tickets instead of gas for the boat..

I want links to pics.

Laker tickets behind the basket in the middle are face value $85. Of course on the open market they are more.

My wife had paid $175 for eash ticket for a Packer game for my birthday. 9th Row seats 1 & 2. I told her never to do that again its just crazy. I think of my grandfathers old line of "What the hell would I go there for, They dont come to watch me work"

NY Giants seats in the family since Dad started in 1959. I've been going since 1976. Paid for early tickets with a paper route, $11.75 each I think. Now have four seats up close, they are $100 ea face. With new stadium they want $80,000 in PSL fees to continue. I feel for my son because I am giving them up at the end of the year after 50 years! Just can't justify the cost anymore. I'll invest the money in education for my kids and possibly an occasional game with my boy. What was once a game for the fan is now an event for the shareholders...

My dad gets Sabres tickets sometimes and I go with him. I also went to a Bills game. The tickets are so expensive. At one of the Sabres games, the tickets were $115. The Bills tickets were not as much($75) because it was not a regular season game.

I think it's terrible how high ticket prices have gotten for professional sporting events. It's a real shame when the average father can't afford to take his kid(s) to a game without it being a financial hardship.
