Points removal on a omc 4.3l

Hi all iv just removed the points out of my dizy and replaced them with electronic, the new parts come from a auto shop (dizy inserts and coil) now i seem to have a problem getting the motor out of gear when its in the water. I can get it into gear no probs, when the boat is out the water i can get it in and out of gear no probs...

any help is good help

Sounds like the shift interupt module is not compatible with your new igniitions module,put the points back in.
