Hi, my boat is under my home addition for the winter ,so it has a roof over it but is still outside, the boat is covered with a tarp but does the outboard need to be covered . i had the outboard covered and noticed some moisture building up , i pulled the tarp off and it dried right up. thanks !!!

I keep mine covered so the paint does not fade. A little condensation should not hurt anything.
You could always shoot it with a light mist of fogging oil under the cowling.

IMO if it out of the sun, direct rain ect i think a extra cover over the motor is unnessary........
In fact i'd rather mine have a bit of "breathing" room so to speak, mosture does'nt hurt much as long as it has the capabilty of drying--Not being able to dry out hurts more :(

Depending on the area you are in...... if you live with a great deal of wind make sure the cover is snug so it does nor abrade the cover. I would give the OB cover a nice coat of wax and then cover it.
