Oil pumping from plug well

I have a 94 J115TXARC, 4 cyl 90 cv. The first thing was the starter would not turn the flywheel (she hasn't been started for over a year). Tried the rope, but the flywheel wouldn't budge. Took the plugs out one at a time, starting at the top right, and tried to turn the flywheel manually. But nothing. When I took out the last one, bottom left, oil poured out. But the flywheel turned freely! Except every turn more oil would pump out. Not sure why. Any tips for repair?

Take a look at this post: http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=158086

If this motor is new to you, someone could have poured a bunch of oil in that cylinder to winterize it. After going through the steps in the link above, you might want to do a compression test on all the cylinders. The reading should be within 10% among each cylinder tested.

Thanks for the advice. The motor wasn't winterized. I forgot to mention, when I put the #4 plug back in the well, the flywheel locks up again. I have a SELOC manual but it doesn't address my issue.

By installing the plug with that amount of oil in the cylinder it may be a matter of trying to compress a liquid vs. atomized fuel. A cylinder filling with oil could result from a bad cylinder head gasket, valve guides. If the engine turns over with plugs removed, start with plug #1 and work backwards to isolate the problem. I would almost bet you would have to pull the head to determine and fix the oil problem. Just my 2C's

Could be hydro lock or are the plugs all the same or is that one longer and hitting the piston?

I am not familiar with that motor, but I will guess from your discription. Oil is leaking past the VRO system through the fuel pump diaphram into the lower port cylinder. Everytime you crank the engine more oil pumps in. Hopefully someone more familiar with that engine will dispute/substantiate.

Thank you for the advice. Although it was something I was hoping to avoid. I did work backwards again to make sure, and it is the #4 plug.
