Hi all;
New to boating, and working on boats. So I'm hoping for a little advise.

I recently purchased a 1989 198CLX Chaparell boat. I'm in the middle of replacing the engine, and buffing out the hull.

My question is what sort of compound should I use to re bed the fittings on the hull. The fittings are made of stainless, teak, and plastic. I heard some compounds will eat plastic, also some fitting are above and below the waterline.

Any help would be very appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Bedding Compounds

3M 4200 if you likely to disassemble it, or 5200 for permanent joints.
